How to add ForsythTech email to Thunderbird Desktop Client Thunderbird is an open-source e-mail client primarily used on Linux devices. Getting a ForsythTech account to work with Thunderbird will take some configurating. Please note, Thunderbird is not officially supported by ITS Support. If you have not added an account to Thunderbird yet and/or you are on "Set Up Your Existing Email Address", then skip to step 3. In Thunderbird, go to Account Settings. Click on Account Actions then Add Mail Account... Type in your full name and the ForsythTech email and password. Then, click on Configure manually. Type in the configuration information from the screenshot below. Username should still be your ForsythTech email. Then click on Done. You will be prompted to sign into your ForsythTech account. Sign into it as usual. Thunderbird will ask for permission to access your emails. Click Accept. You may be prompted to approve your sign in request. Approve it.8. Wait for Thunderbird to finish up and your account will be added to the client.
