Welcome from the Information Technology Services (ITS) team at Forsyth Tech! We are thrilled to have you on board and look forward to working together to support your technology needs.
ITS at Forsyth Tech is responsible for managing and supporting a wide range of technology services and resources across the campuses. Our mission is to empower our educational community through technology by providing reliable, secure, and innovative solutions. Some of the first key areas we would like to introduce you to include:
- Email and Teams: To access your Forsyth Tech email and Microsoft Teams account, please follow these steps:
- Techlink: Techlink is our internal portal where you can find important announcements for college activities, link to resources, documentation, and various forms. To log in to Techlink, use your Forsyth Tech credentials and navigate to Techlink (sharepoint.com). It's a valuable resource for staying up-to-date on college policies, news, and helpful guides.
- OneDrive and SharePoint: OneDrive and SharePoint are cloud-based storage and collaboration platforms that you will use regularly. Here are some key differences:
- OneDrive is primarily for personal document storage: https://forsythtech-my.sharepoint.com
- SharePoint is used for team collaboration and document sharing, offering more advanced features for group workspaces. ITS strongly recommends using Sharepoint for any documents that will be “shared” my multiple people. SharePoint
- ITS Service Catalog: You can submit help desk tickets through the ITS website for any technical issues that may occur with the provided IT Equipment here at Forsyth Technical Community College. You may also use the ITS Service Catalog to submit requests to access systems, install software, make purchases, etc… https://its.forsythtech.edu/support/home
