[Students] How do I access Azure VM?
If you're having trouble figuring out how to access your Azure Virtual Machine, follow the steps below:
1. Login to Blackboard at blackboard.forsythtech.edu and open the course you'll be utilizing your virtual machine for:
2. Once you are in your Blackboard course, navigate to the Content tab. If your instructor has integrated the resource, a link to the Azure VM will be visible. Please note that the link may be nested within another folder depending on how the instructor has organized the course material. If you do not see a link to this resource, you may use Windows App (link to AzureVM to access the Virtual Machine directly. If this occurs, please notify your instructor so they can add the link to Blackboard for future access.
3. A new tab should open with your virtual machine. You'll need to select "Session Desktop" as illustrated in screen below:
4. Once you are in the screen of: "In Session Settings" please click on "Connect" at the bottom right side as illustrated in the screen below:
5. Once you are in Login screen, please enter your Forsyth Tech email and the password and hit "Sign In" access the Azure Virtual Desktop as illustrated in the screen below:
If you don't see a link to Azure VM in your course, please ensure to reach out to your instructor and let them know.
